Present Your Research
Undergraduate and graduate students conducting AI-related research are invited to present a poster at the 2026 AI Student Research Symposium.
The poster session provides students with an opportunity to share their research with faculty, students, researchers, and members of the Iowa State community.

Students who would like to present a poster should complete the registration form below.
Registration is limited to 40 posters.
Who Can Present?
Poster presentations are open to:
- Iowa State undergraduate students conducting AI-related research
- Iowa State graduate students conducting AI-related research
Students from disciplines across Iowa State are encouraged to participate.
Poster Requirements
Presenters should prepare their poster with the specifications and poster sections listed below. Students are encouraged to use the template provided below but may also use their department template as long as the poster fits the specifications listed below.

What Makes a Good Poster?
To be eligible for the poster prize drawing, your poster should meet the following criteria:
- Clear purpose: Explain the research problem or question and why it matters.
- Easy to understand: Write for a broad academic audience and avoid unnecessary jargon.
- Strong main message: Make it clear what you did, what you found, and why the findings are important.
- Visual: Use graphs, figures, diagrams, tables, or images where possible instead of large amounts of text.
- Easy to follow: Organize the poster clearly using the required sections: Summary, Problem, Solution, Limitations and Future Work, and Related Work.
- Readable: Use large, clear text and avoid overcrowding the poster.
- Professional: Check spelling, grammar, figures, references, author information, and formatting before printing.
- Appropriate acknowledgement: D4-supported research must include the NSF acknowledgement provided in the poster template.

NSF Acknowledgement for D4-Supported Research
All students must use the NSF acknowledgement included at the bottom of the poster template.

On the Day of the Symposium
Presenters are invited to attend the Presenters' Breakfast at 9:00 a.m. in the adjoining meeting room on the atrium floor.
The symposium program begins with D4 lightning talks from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by the poster session from 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Further instructions regarding poster setup and arrival time will be provided to registered presenters before the symposium.
