Undergraduate Research Assistantships

About Undergraduate Research Assistantships 

Those selected for an assistantship will assist faculty and graduate students who are current trainees in the D4 training program. They will also learn about data science foundations, methodology, and tools for creating trustworthy data-driven discoveries from biological and other data.

Terms of Assistantship

  • Participants will earn $2,000 per semester.
  • Must actively participate in at least 150 hours of work and/or meetings in a semester.
  • Be available to meet in the evenings in the Spring & Fall semesters of the assistantship.

Requirements of Assistantship

  • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.4.
  • Have at least one year remaining in BS degree. 
  • Be a US citizen or permanent resident.

Application timeline

The application deadline is February 27th. Review of applications for the assistantships will begin in early February, with offers being made by April 31. Applications submitted after February 1st will be considered on a space-available basis.
